Explanatory note
Section 4 of the Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938 provides that the persons who, for the time being, are the members of an unincorporated body that is constituted by an ordinance of the Synod of a diocese for the purposes of managing, governing or controlling an institution or organisation of the Anglican Church of Australia, or of dealing with any church trust property,

Explanatory note
may be the subject of another ordinance by that Synod declaring that it would be expedient to constitute them as a body corporate. Once the ordinance making the declaration is passed by the Synod, the Governor may, by order published in the Gazette, declare the members of the unincorporated body to be a body corporate. The object of this Order is to provide for the members of the International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Committee to be a body corporate known as the “International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Committee”. The relevant ordinances are the International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Constitution Ordinance 1999 and the International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Incorporation Ordinance 1999.
This Order is made under section 4 (3) of the Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies
Corporate) Act 1938.

This Order is the Anglican Church of Australia (International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Incorporation) Order 1999.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Order.
3 International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Committee
It is declared that the persons who for the time being are the members of the body known as the International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Committee constituted under the International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Constitution Ordinance 1999 shall be a body corporate under the name “International Philosophy, Science & Theology Festival Committee”.
