Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Angas Inlet Zoning Regulations, 1988.

Interpretation

2. In these regulations—

"the controlled area" means that portion of Angas Inlet that is bounded as follows:

Commencing at a point where median high water mark on Torrens Island intersects the line of buoys, thence south-east along the line of buoys to a point where median high water on Garden Island intersects the line of buoys, thence south-west along median high water mark to the Causeway, thence north-west along median high water mark to Torrens Island, thence north-east along median high water mark to the point of commencement:

"the line of buoys" means a line of orange coloured buoys installed at the direction of the

Minister for the purpose of marking out the controlled area.

Activities prohibited in the controlled area

3. (1) A person who takes a vessel, water ski, surf board or other similar device into the controlled area or who causes or permits a vessel, water ski, surf board or other similar device to enter the controlled area is guilty of an offence.

Penalty: $200.

(2) Subregulation (1) does not apply to a person who operates a vessel in the controlled

area—

(a)

for a purpose connected with the operation or maintenance of Torrens Island Power Station;

or

(b)

for the purposes of a rescue operation.
