A M E N D M E N T S O F T H E T A X I AND P R I V A T E H I R E C A R R E G U L A T I O N S !

1. Regulation 4 of the Taxi and Private Hi re Car Regulat ions is amended by omit t ing the definitions of " public stand " and " testing officer " and substi tuting the following definitions:—

" ' taxi r a n k ' has the same meaning as in Par t X of the Ordinance;

' testing officer ' means an officer appointed under the Ordinance to be a

testing officer;

' the City A r e a ' has the same meaning as in Par t I X of the Ordinance;" .

2. Regulation 24 of the Taxi and Private Hi re C a r Regulations is amended by

omit t ing sub-regulation ( 1 1 ) .

3. Regulation 30 of the Taxi a n d Private Hire Car Regulations is repealed.

4. T h e First Schedule to the Taxi and Private Hi re C a r Regulat ions is amended

1970, N o . 5; 1972, N o . 4; and 1974, N o . 11.

by omitt ing the w o r d s —

" F I R S T S C H E D U L E '*

and substituting the w o r d —

" S C H E D U L E ".

5 . The Second and Thi rd Schedules to the Taxi and Private Hire Car Regu­

lations are repealed.

6. The Taxi and Private Hi re C a r Regulat ions are amended as set out in the

Schedule.
