Regulations under the Roads and Public Places Ordinance 1937'

I, ROBERT JAMES ELLICOTT, the Minister of State for the Capital Territory, hereby make the following Regulations under the Roads and Public Places Ordinance 1937.

A M E N D M E N T S OF THE ROADS A N D PUBLIC PLACES

REGULATIONS 2

1. After regulation 2 of the Roads and Public Places Regulations the

following regulation is inserted: "2A. In these Regulations— 'decorative pavement ' means a pavement other than—

(a) a concrete pavement;
(b) a bituminous concrete pavement;
(c) a bituminous surfaced pavement; or

repealed and the following Schedules substituted:

(d) a gravel pavement;

'special concrete pavement ' means a concrete pavement other than a

standard concrete pavement;

' s tandard concrete pavement ' means a concrete pavement—

(a)	that is cast in situ;
(b)	in respect of which the finish to the surface is effected by means of a trowel, float or brush or by the use of hessian; and
(c)	in respect of which a colouring additive is not used.".

2. Schedules 1 and 2 to the Roads and Public Places Regulations are

SCHEDULE 1 Paragraph 3 ( a )

Concrete pavement	$110.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $32.00 for each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface opened up or broken
Bituminous concrete pavement or	$50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $12.00 for
bituminous surfaced pavement	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface opened up or broken
Gravel pavement	$50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $3.00 for each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface opened up or broken
SCHEDULE 2 Paragraph 3 ( b )
Type of surface	Fee
Standard concrete pavement—
(a) where the thickness of the	$50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $8.00 for

pavement does not exceed	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface
75 millimetres	opened up or broken

(b) where the thickness of the $50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $11.00 for

pavement exceeds 75 milli-	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface
metres	opened up or broken

Special concrete pavement or dec­

orative	pavement -
fa) where the thickness of the	$75.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $15.00 for

pavement does not exceed	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface
75 millimetres	opened up or broken

(b) where the thickness of the $75.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $20.00 for

pavement exceeds 75 milli-	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface
metres	opened up or broken

Bituminous concrete pavement or	$50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $6.00 for
bituminous surfaced pavement	each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface opened up or broken
Gravel pavement	$50.00 plus an amount calculated at the rate of $3.00 for each square metre or part of a square metre of the surface opened up or broken
