Regulations under the Pounds Ordinance 1928'

I, ROBERT JAMES ELLICOTT, the Minister of State for the Capital Territory, hereby make the following Regulations under the Pounds Ordinance 1928.

A M E N D M E N T S OF THE P O U N D S REGULATIONS 2

1. Regulation 2 of the Pounds Regulations is repealed.

2. Regulation 3 of the Pounds Regulations is amended by omitting

the definition of " the City Area" .

3. Regulations 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Pounds Regulations are repealed

and the following regulations substituted:

" 4 . The following sums are prescribed for the purpose of section 10

(a ) For each entry of an impounding—$0.30;
(b ) For each entry of release—$0.15;
(c) For each advertisement published under, or for the purposes of, the Ordinance—the cost of publication plus $0.30;
(d ) For each notice delivered or posted—$0.20;
(e) For each sale of cattle the property of one person or, if sold in separate lots, for the sale of each lot—$ 1.00;
(f)
For each entry of sale—$0.20.

" 6 . (1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), deterrent fees are prescribed for the purpose of section 11 of the Ordinance in accordance with the fol­ lowing scale:

For each subsequent animal 4.00

" ( 2 ) Where an animal is impounded and another animal or other animals of the same kind belonging to the same person have been impounded during the preceding 3 months, the deterrent fees prescribed for the purpose of section 11 of the Ordinance are twice the fees that would be payable but for this sub-regulation.

" 7 . Trespass rates are prescribed for the purpose of section 11 of the

Ordinance in accordance with the following scale:

4. Regulation 8 of the Pounds Regulations is amended—

(a ) by omitting " Ten cents " and substituting " 30 cents ";

(b)

by omitting "Twenty cents" (wherever occurring) and substituting"60 cents"; and

(c) by omit t ing ' ' Forty cents ' ' and substituting "$1 .20" .
