Regulations under the Motor Traffic

Mulur Traffic Ordinance .1936-1955, hereby make the following

Regulations.

A M E N D M E N T S OF T H E MOTOR T R A F F I C R E G U L A T I O N S .

1. Regulation 5 of the Motor Traffic Regulations is amended by Definitions.

inserting after the definition of " Schedule " the following definition : -

" ' the City Area ' has the same meaning as in the City Area

Leases Ordinance 1936-1951;".

2. Regulation 34 of the Motor Traffic Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

a motor lorry the laden weight of which exceeds three tons, may be 8peed' " 34.— (1.) The maximum speed at which a motor vehicle, other than Limits of

driven upon a public street in the City Area is thirty miles per hour.

" (2.) The maximum speed at which a motor lorry the laden weight of which exceeds tliree tons may be driven upon a public street is that specified, according to the laden weight of the motor lorry and the location of the public street, in the following Table:—

" (3.) The maximum speed at which a motor cycle carrying a person (not being a person carried in a .side-car) in addition to the driver may be driven upon a public street elsewhere than in the City Area is forty miles per hour.

" (4.) In this regulation, ' laden weight ' , in relation to a motor lorry, means the sum of (lie weight of the motor lorry and the weight of the load on the motor lorry.".
