Regulations under the Motor Omnibus Services Ordinance 1955.*

hereby m a k e the following Regulations under the Motor Omnibus Services
Ordinance 1955.

A M E N D M E N T S O F T H E M O T O R O M N I B U S F A R E S R E G U L A T I O N S !

1. Regulat ions 4, 5 and 6 of the M o t o r Omnibus Fares Regulat ions are repealed and the following regulations subst i tu ted:—

" 4. Subject to regulations 5, 9 and 10, the fare to be charged in respect of a journey on an omnibus, o ther than a journey by a child, is the sum calculated by multiplying the sum of 30 cents by the number of sections of which the journey consists.

" 5 . ( 1 ) In this regulation, 'off-peak p e r i o d ' means the period commencing

at 9.30 in the forenoon and ending at 3.30 in the afternoon on a day other than
a Saturday, Sunday or holiday.

" (2 ) Subject to regulations 9 and 10, the fare to be charged in respect of a journey on an omnibus, being a journey that is made by a person other than a child and commences during an off-peak period, is the sum calculated by multi­ plying the sum of 25 cents by the number of sections of which the journey consists.

" 6. Subject to regulations 9 and 10, the fare to be charged in respect of a journey by a child on an omnibus is the sum calculated by multiplying the sum of 20 cents by the number of sections of which the journey consists.".

2 . Regulat ion 6A of the M o t o r Omnibus Fa res Regula t ions is repealed and

the following regulation subst i tu ted:—

" 6A. For the purpose of sub-section 4BA (2) of the Ordinance, the price payable for a daily ticket i s —

(a ) in the case of a child's daily t icket—70 cents; and

(b ) in any other case—$1.30." .

3 . Regula t ion 6B of the M o t o r Omnibus Fares Regulat ions is repealed.

4 . Regula t ion 6c of the Moto r Omnibus Fa res Regulat ions is amended by

omitt ing from sub-regulation (2 ) the figures " $ 9 " and substituting the
figures " $ 1 0 " .
5 . Regula t ion 6D of the M o t o r Omnibus Fa res Regulat ions is repealed and
the following regulation subs t i tu ted:—

" 6D. ( 1 ) For the purpose of sub-section 4CA ( 2 ) of the Ordinance, the

prices payable for books of tickets for use by persons other than children are—

(a) in the case of a book of 10 tickets—$2.40;
(b) in the case of a book of 20 tickets—$4.80; and

(c) in the case of a book of 50 tickets—$11.50.

" (2 ) For the purpose of sub-section 4CA (2 ) of the Ordinance, the prices

payable for books of children's tickets are—

(a) in the case of a book of 10 tickets—$1.70;
(b) in the case of a book of 20 tickets—$3.40; and

(c ) in the case of a book of 50 tickets—$8.50.".

6. Regulation 9 of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended by

omitting sub-regulation (1 ) and substituting the following sub-regulation:—

" (1 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 3 ) , the fare to be charged in respect of a journey on an omnibus by a person who is a pensioner, being a journey in respect of which the full fare would, but for this sub-regulation, be payable, is the sum calculated by multiplying the sum of 15 cents by the number of sections of which the journey consists.".

7. Schedules 1, 2 and 3 to the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulat ions are

repealed.
