Regulations under the Canberra Community

Hospital Ordinance 1938-1950.*

1 , for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Health, in pursuance
of the powers conferred by the Canberra Community Hospital Ordinance
M38-1950, hereby make the following Regulations.

A M E N D M E N T S OF T H E H O S P I T A L BOARD E L E C T I O N

R E G U L A T I O N S .

1. Regulation 2 of the Hospital Board Election Regulations is ociinitio

amended by omitting the definition of " the Holl " and inserting in its
stead the following definition:- —

" ' t h e ro l l ' means the roll of electors for the Terri tory kept in pursuance of the Australian Capital Territory Electoral Regulations.".

2. Regulation 5 of the Hospital Board Election Regulations is Distinguishing
amended by omitting the words " Advisory Council Election Regula- X'k/^l'roii
t i o n s " and inserting in their stead the words " Australian Capital

Territory Electoral Regulations ".

3. Regulation 12 of the Hospital Board Election Regulations i> Action »-iu-,-,•

amended by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (2.) and ™iSkiato< i«

4.   Regulation 1 (! of the Hospital Board Election Regulations is Application of

(a) by omitting the proviso thereto; and £tion
(b) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulations :— ;P*' | i™"

" (2.) Notwithstanding the provisions of the last pre-

ceding sub-regulation, a person—

(a) who is resident in the Territory accepted by t!i • Commonwealth in pursuance of the J err is I'aij Territory Acceptance Act 1915; and

with regulation 5 of these Regulations,

shall not be entitled to vote at an election.

" (3.) Nothing in this regulation shall be construed as applying the provisions of paragraph (c) of section 73 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act, of paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3.) of regulation 4 of the Advisory. Council Election Regulations or of sub-regulation (3.) of regula- tion 29 of those Regulations to the nomination of candi- dates for election under these Regulations.".
