Amendments of the Fire Brigades Regulations (ACT)

Regulations under the Fire Brigade Ordinance 1957-1974.*

hereby make the following Regulations under the Fire Brigade	Ordinance
1957-1974.

A M E N D M E N T S OF THE FIRE BRIGADES REGULATIONS!

1. Regulation 1 of the Fire Brigades Regulations is amended by omitting the

word " Brigades " and substituting the word " Brigade ".

2. Regulation 2 of the Fire Brigades Regulations is amended by inserting after the word " includes " in the definition of " commercial building " the words " a hospital, a school,".

3. Regulation 5 of the Fire Brigades Regulations is amended by omitting the

words " One dollar fifty cents " and substituting the symbol and figure " $4 ".

4. After regulation 5A of the Fire Brigades Regulations the following regula­

tion is inserted:—

" 5 B . Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-regulation 5A ( 3 ) , the Chief Officer may, in order to carry out rescue operations or in an emergency, give directions to the members of the Brigade to do such things as are necessary to carry out the rescue operation or deal with the emergency.".

5. The Fire Brigades Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule to

these Regulations.
