Regulations under the Education Ordinance 1937-1952.

Education Ordinance 1937-1952, hereby make the following Regulations.

A M E N D M E N T S OF T H E E D U C A T I O N R E G U L A T I O N S .

1. Regulation 4 3 A of the Education Regulations is amended by Nursery Kinder- omitting sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following scnoeiarsh?ps!er sub-regulations:—

" (3.) A Nursery Kindergarten Teacher Scholarship entitles the

holder—

(a) to a grant—

( i ) where the holder lives away from home for the purpose of attending the College—of Two hundred and eighty pounds for the first year's course, Two hundred and eighty pounds for the second year's course and such amount as the Minister deter- mines for the third year's course; or

( i i) where the holder does not live away from home for the purpose of attending the College—of One hundred and eighty pounds for the first year's course, One hundred and eighty pounds for the second year's course and such amount as the Minister determines for the third year's course;

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

(h) to a grant of Fifteen pounds for each year's course for text books, college material for personal use or for other inci- dentals in connexion with the t ra ining; and
(c) to payment of the fees for tuition and other amounts which

are payable in respect of the holder to the College.

" ( 3 A . ) The amounts to which the holder of a scholarship is entitled

under paragraphs (a) and (b) of the last preceding sub-regulation are payable in equal instalments at the commencement of each term of the Kindergarten Training College.".

2. The amendments made by the last preceding regulation apply in Application of

respect of the year 1954 and subsequent years. amendments.
