1. Regulation 1 of the Commonwea l th Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is
amended by omitt ing the word " Commonwea l th ".
2. Regulat ion 3 of the Commonwea l th Moto r Omnibus Fares Regulations is
a m e n d e d —
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition of " holiday " the words " of the Commonwea l th "; ( b ) by omitt ing the definition of " inspector "; ( c )
by inserting after the definition of " j o u r n e y " the following definit ion:—
" ' pensioner ' m e a n s — (a)
a person who is in receipt of an age or invalid pension or a wife's allowance under Par t III , or a widow's pension under Par t IV, of the Social Services Act 1947-1973;
(b) a person who is in receipt of a widow's pension under
the Repatriation Act 1920-1973, the Repatriation {Far
East Strategic Reserve) Act 1956-1973 o r the Repatria

tion {Special Overseas Service) Act 1962-1973; and
(c) a person who is in receipt of a service pension under
Par t I I I of the Repatriation Act 1920-1973 or by virtue
of the operat ion of sub-section 7 (2 ) of the Repatriation {Special Overseas Service) Act 1962-1973;" ; and
(d)
by omitting from the definition of " the Transport Manager" the words " Facilities Branch of the Depar tment of the I n t e r i o r " and substituting the words " Commercial and Transpor t Operations Branch of the Depar tment of the Capital Terr i tory ".

3. Regulat ion 5 of the Commonwea l th Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is
amended by omit t ing from sub-regulation (1 ) the word " Commonweal th ".
4. Regulat ion 9 of the Commonwea l th Moto r Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended by omitt ing sub-regulation (1 ) and substituting the following sub- regu la t ion :—
" (1 ) Subject to this regulation, the fare to be charged in respect of a journey by a person who is a pensioner, being a person to w h o m the full fare would, but for this sub-regulation, be applicable, i s —
(a ) F ive cents in respect of a journey of less than six sections; and
(b ) Ten cents in respect of a journey of six or more sections,
plus, if the journey is a journey referred to in sub-regulation 5 (3 ) or 5 ( 4 ) ,
Five cents." . 5. Regulation 10 of the Commonwea l th Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is a m e n d e d —
(a) by omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) of sub-regulation (1) and sub
stituting the following p a r a g r a p h s : —
" ( b ) a person w h o is an incapacitated re turned soldier;
(c) a blind person and, where the blind person is accompanied by an at tendant, the a t tendant ; o r
(d) a member of the Police Force of the Territory, or a person employed in the Transpor t Section of the Commercia l and Transpor t Operat ions Branch of the Depar tment of the Capital Terr i tory, while travelling on duty or between his home and a place where he performs duty for the purpose of commencing, or immediately after completing, duty."; and
(b ) by inserting in sub-regulation ( 3 ) , after the word " p e n s i o n " , the
words ", under the Repatriation Act 1920-1973, the Repatriation
(Special Overseas Service) Act 1962-1973 or the Repatriation (Far
East Strategic Reserve) Act 1956-1973," .
