Regulations under the Building and Services Ordinance

1924-1942.*

pursuance of the powers conferred by the Building and Services

Ordinance 1924-1942, hereby make the following Eegulations.

E L E C T R I C S U P P L Y R E G U L A T I O N S .

1. Regulation 6 of the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply charges for

Regulations is amended— ' J^ting and

(<z) by omitting the figures and words " I f d. per u n i t " and inserting in their stead the figures and words " 2 |d. per unit " ; and

(b)

by omitting the figures and words "15s . per q u a r t e r " and inserting in their stead the figures and words " £1 per quarter ".

2. Regulation CA of the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply charges for

(ft) by omitting paragraph {a) of sub-regulation (2.) and commercial,

inserting in its stead the following paragraph :-- - motion picture premises
2870.—PRICE 3D.

" (ri) In the City Area and in a Rural Area—

Por electricity used for lighting, other than shop window lighting, purposes—6d. per unit for all pr imary units, 5d. per unit for all secondary units, and 4d. per unit for all additional units, used during the month to which the reading relates;

Por electricity used for power and shop window

lighting purposes 2 |d . per u n i t ; " ;

(b) by omitting sub-regulation ( 3 B . ) and inserting in its stead

the following sub-regulation:—

" ( 3 B . ) Where electricity is supplied for sanding
services at the request of a person, the charge for the

supply shall be at the rate of £2. 10. 0. per service.";

(c) by omitting paragraph (a ) of sub-regulation (4.) and

inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

" ( a ) I n the City Area and in a Rura l Area—6d. per unit for all pr imary units, and 2^d. per unit for all additional units, used during the quarter to which the reading relates; " ;

(d) by omitting from sub-regulation (6.) the figures and words " l-£d. per u n i t " and " 2d. per u n i t " and inserting in their stead the figures and words " 2^d. per u n i t " and " 3d. per unit ", respectively; and

(e) by omitting from sub-regulation ( 6 B . ) the figures and words " 1-Jd. per u n i t " and inserting in their stead the figures and words " 2d. per unit ".

Date from 4.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, the charges Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply Regulations, as amended by these Regulations, shall be payable in respect of the supply to a person of all electricity recorded by any reading, made after the date on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazelle, of the meter or meters used for the purpose of ascertaining the quantity of electricity supplied to that person.

(2.) The charges prescribed by regulation 6 of the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply Regulations, as amended by these Regula- tions, in respect of electricity in use in connexion with a hot water system shall be payable from and including the date on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazette.
