Amendments of City Leases Regulations 1921 (ACT)

T GEORGE FOSTER PEARCE, the Minister of State for X , Home and Territories, pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the City Leases Ordinance 1921-1924, hereby make the following Regulations, to come into operation forthwith.

AMENDMENTS OF CITY LEASES REGULATIONS 1921.

1. Regulation 4 of the City Leases Regulations is amended—

(«) by omitting paragraphs (a) and (b) thereof and in-

serting in their stead the following paragraphs—

" ( a ) A building on the leased land shall be com- menced within two years or such further period as is approved in writing by the Minister;

"(h) The building shall be completed within three years after the grant ing of the lease, or such further period as is approved in wri t ing by the. Minis ter ; "

and

(I) by inserting in paragraph (/) thereof, after the word " not " the words " , except with, the approval of the Minister,".

2. Regulation 5 of the City Leases Regulations 1921 is iimended by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (2) thereof the words "'one m o n t h " and inserting in their iftcad the words " three- months."

3. Regulation S of the City Leases Regulations 1921 is nmended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) thereof the words " , with the consent of the Minister,"
