This is the Amendment Statement of Principles concerning suicide and attempted suicide (Reasonable Hypothesis) (No. 35 of 2022).

This instrument commences on 4 April 2022.

This instrument is made under subsections 196B(2) and (8) of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986.

The Statement of Principles concerning suicide and attempted suicide (Reasonable Hypothesis) (No. 65 of 2016) (Federal Register of Legislation No. F2016L01145) is amended in the following manner:

After paragraph (k) in the definition of 'clinically significant disorder of mental health as specified', insert the following paragraph:

(ka)   gender dysphoria;
