A M E N D M E N T OP T H E P O U N D S R E G U L A T I O N S .

1. Regulation 3 of Pounds Regulations is amended by omitting tile Definitions,

definition of "Lands Officer" and inserting in its stead the following
definition:—

" ' au tho r i zed officer', in relation to any act, matter or thing, means an officer thereto authorized in writing by the Minister."'.

2. Regulation 4 of the Pounds Regulations is amended by omitting Pound fees,

the word " Commission" and inserting in its stead the word

" Minister ".

5. Regulation 1G of the Pounds Regulations is amended— Feeding and

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words the La'nds impounded

Officer" (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words " a n authorized officer";

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words " the Lands Officer" (wherever o'cenrring) and inserting in their stead the words " a n authorized officer";

(<•) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the word " Com- mission " (first occurring) and inserting in its stead the word " Minister " ;

(d) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the word " Com- mission " (second occurring) and inserting in its stead the word " Commonwealth " ; and
(r) by omitting from Sub-regulation (2.) the words " or any

Monthly	9. Regulation 2:5 of the Pounds Regulations is amended by omitting

Authorized	10. Regulation 24 of the Pounds Regulations is amended—
payment^.	(a) by omitting the words " T h e Lands Officer" ami inserting
in their stead the words " A n authorized officer"; and (b) by omitting the words " other than the Commission, and shall' notify the Accountant of the Commission in order that steps may be taken " and inserting in their stead the words " under the Ordinance and may cause steps to he

taken ".

Pound keeper	11. Regulation 26 of the Pounds Regulations is amended—
ceasing to
hold office.	(a) by omitting the words " L a n d s Officer" and inserting in

their stead the word " M i n i s t e r " ; and

(b) by omitting the word "Commiss ion" and inserting in its

stead the word " Commonwealth ". M
