A M E N D M E N T OF THE M I L K AUTHORITY REGULATIONSt

After regulation 11 of the Milk Authority Regulations the following regulation

is inserted:—

" 12 .—(1 . ) In this regulation—

' cream ' does not include sour cream;

' milk ' does not include—

(a) milk to which a flavouring substance has been added; or

(b)	milk that is supplied to the Commonwealth in pursuance of
an arrangement made under section 5 of the States Grants

(Milk for School Children) Act 1950;

' week ' means a period of seven days commencing on a Monday.

" (2 . ) For the purposes of this regulation, a reference, in relation to a sale of a prescribed milk product, to bottles or cartons sh;;ll be read as a reference to bottles or cartons, as the case may be, in which that prescribed milk product was packed by the holder of a wholesaler's licence.

" (3 . ) The prices at which milk, cream and sour cream may be sold arc the

prices ascertained in accordance with the following table:—

" (4.) For the purposes of the last preceding sub-regulation—

(a) Rate A applies in relation to a sale of a specified milk product by the holder of a wholesaler's licence t o —

(i) the holder of a Vendor 's Licence or Vendor 's Permit ; or

(ii)    a person who is a registered milk vendor within the meaning of the Dairy Industry Authori ty Act, 1970 of the State of New South Wales and carries on business as a milk vendor otherwise than in or from a shop;

(b) Rate B applies in relation to a sale of a specified milk product by the holder of a wholesaler 's licence t o —

(i) the holder of a Retailer's Licence; or

(ii)    any other person who, in the week in which that sale is made, buys that specified milk product in a quantity that is not less than two gallons on each of not less than five days in that week; and

(c) Rate C applies in relation to a sale of a specified milk product by the holder of a Vendor 's Licence, a Vendor ' s Permit, a Retailer's Licence or a Vending Machine Licence in accordance with that licence or permit, as the case may be.".
