Regulation under the Juries Ordinance 1932-1938.

I H E R B E R T V E R E EVATT, the Attorney-General of the Common-
, wealth, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Juries

Ordinance 1932-1938, hereby make the following Regulation.

AMENDMENT OF THE JURIES F E E S REGULATIONS.

Eegulation 2 of the Juries Fees Regulations is repealed and the

following regulation inserted in its stead:—

" 2. The fees to be paid to any person who serves as a juror in any r*«,

criminal cause or in any civil case shall be as follows:—

Per day. Per mile,
s. </. s. d.

For each day- (if attendance of more than four hours

up to three days . . . . 1 7 0

For each day of attendance not exceeding four hours

from time of attending . . 10 0

For the fourth and every subsequent day's attendance of

more than four hours on the same panel . 2 0 0

Jurors, if continuously on the same trial , in any civil case, for more than three days, shall be entitled to such further sum (if any) as the presiding Justice shall direct.

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

Bystanders sworn on any trial, for each day of attend-

ance exceeding four hours 17 0

Bystanders sworn on any trial , for each day of attend-

ance not exceeding four hours from time of attending HI o

Travelling expenses for every mile of distance in excess

of three miles, between the juror's residence and the

Court (one way, and for one day only) . . 1 0 " .
