Regulation under the Companies Ordinance 1962-1973.*

I, LIONEL KEITH MURPHY, the Attorney-General of Australia, hereby make the following Regulation under the Companies Ordinance 1962-1973.

AMENDMENT OF THE COMPANIES AUDITORS BOARD REGULATIONS!

Regulation 4 of the Companies Auditors Board Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:—

" 4 . (1) The Chairman, or his deputy, shall be paid in respect of each day on which he attends at a meeting of the Board—

(a) where the duration of the meeting on that day is not less than three hours—a fee of $40; or
(b) where the duration of the meeting on that day is less than three hours—a fee of $25.

" (2) A member, or his deputy, shall be paid in respect of each day on which he attends at a meeting of the Board—

(a)

where the duration of the meeting on that day is not less than three hours—a fee of $35; or

(b)

where the duration of the meeting on that day is less than three hours—a fee of $20.

" (3) Where—

(a)

the Chairman, a member, or a deputy of the Chairman or of a member is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence in order to attend a meeting of the Board; or

(b)

the Chairman or a member is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence in order to perform any business of the Board on which he is engaged with the approval of the Board,

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

travelling allowance in respect of the period of absence is payable to him at the
rate of $28 per day

" (4) Travelling allowance payable under sub-regulation (3) is in addition to, and does not include, the cost of conveyance.

" (5) This regulation does not apply to or in relation to the Chairman, a member, or a deputy of the Chairman or of a member, being a person who is an officer within the meaning of the Public Service Act 1922-1973 or an officer of an-authority established by or under an Act or Ordinance.".
