THE TERRITORY FOR THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE CITY LEASES ORDINANCE 1921.

I ALEXANDER POYNTON, the Minister of State for Home and , Territories, pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the City Leases Ordinance 1921, hereby make the following regulation,
to come into operation forthwith.

AMENDMENT OF THE CITY LEASES REGULATIONS 1921.

After regulation 6 of the City Leases Regulations 1921, the

following regulation is inserted :—

" 6A. The Minister or any person authorized down and
thereto in writing by the Minister shall hare the maintain
right, without payment of compensation, to enter mains, &c.
upon any land which is the subject of a lease and to make such
excavations and construct such works as are necessary for the
purpose of laying down and maintaining mains, sub-mains
and service connexions in connexion with sewerage or the
drainage of storm water, or the supply of electric light or gas

or any other service which the Minister considers necessary."
