Regulations under the Agents Ordinance 1968-1973.*

I, K E P P E L E A R L E N D E R B Y , the Minister of State for the Capital Terr i tory,
hereby make the following Regulations under the Agents Ordinance 1968-1973.

A M E N D M E N T O F T H E A G E N T S R E G U L A T I O N S !

After regulation 5 of the Agents Regulations the following regulation is

a d d e d : —
" 6 . (1 ) A member of the Board (other than the departmental member ) shall be paid in respect of each day on which he attends at a meeting of the Board or at an inquiry—

(a) where the duration of the meeting or inquiry on that day is not less than three hours—a fee of Thirty-five dollars; o r
(b) where the duration of the meeting or inquiry on that day is less than

three hours—a fee of Twenty dollars.

" ( 2 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 3 ) , a member of the Board (other than the departmental member ) shall be paid in respect of each day on which he is engaged, with the approval of the Board, on business of the Board—

(a)

where the duration of the period during which he is so engaged on that day is not less than three hours—a fee of Thirty-five dollars; or

( b ) where the durat ion of the period during which he is so engaged on

that day is less than three hours—a fee of Twenty dollars.

" ( 3 ) Where a member of the Board (other than the departmental member) —

(a ) at tends a meeting of the Board; and

(b) is also, on the same day, engaged for a period, with the approval of the Board, on other business of the Board,

a fee is not payable to him in accordance with sub-regulation (2 ) in respect of the period referred to in paragraph (b ) but the fee payable to him in respect of that day in accordance with sub-regulation (1 ) is the fee that would be payable to him in respect of that day if, on that day, he had, in addition to attending the meeting referred to in paragraph ( a ) , also attended a meeting of the Board during the period referred to in paragraph ( b ) .

" ( 4 ) Where a member of the Board (other than the depar tmental member )

is necessarily absent overnight from his place of res idence—

(a ) in order to attend a meeting of the Board; or

(b) in order to perform any business of the Board on which he is

engaged with the approval of the Board,

travelling al lowance in respect of the period of absence is payable to him at the

ra te of Twenty-eight dollars per day.

" ( 5 ) Travell ing allowance payable under sub-regulation (4 ) is in addition to,

and does not include, the cost of conveyance." .
