Amendment Statement of Principles

concerning

SCHIZOPHRENIA

No. 93 of 2011

for the purposes of the

Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986

and

Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004

  1. This Instrument may be cited as Statement of Principles concerning schizophrenia No. 93 of 2011.

  1. The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(8) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, Statement of Principles concerning schizophrenia Instrument No. 15 of 2009, by:

(A)Deleting existing factor "(i)" concerning 'therapeutic radiation' from clause 6;

(B)Deleting existing factor "(j)" concerning 'atomic radiation' from clause 6;

(C)Re-numbering existing factors "(k)" to "(u)" in clause 6 as "(i)" to "(s)" respectively;

(D)Replacing "6(k) to 6(u)" in clause 7 with "6(i) to 6(s)"; and

(E)Deleting the definitions of "a course of therapeutic radiation", "atomic radiation" and "cumulative equivalent dose" from clause 9.

  1. The amendment made by this instrument applies to all matters to which Instrument No. 15 of 2009, section 120A of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and section 338 of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 apply.

  1. The amendment made by this instrument takes effect from 13 July 2011.
