Amendment of Statement of Principles

concerning

ANGLE-CLOSURE GLAUCOMA

No. 25 of 2006

for the purposes of the

Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986

and

Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004

  1. The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(2) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, Instrument No. 15 of 1999, by:

A.in clause 8, deleting the definition of “significant trauma to the affected eye” and inserting in its place the following:

‘significant trauma to the affected eye’ means penetrating, blunt, chemical or radiation injury involving the affected eye that results in intraocular inflammation, intraocular bleeding or other intraocular tissue disruption;”

2. The amendment made by this instrument applies to all matters to which Instrument No. 15 of 1999, section 120A of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and section 338 of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 apply.

3.         The amendment made by this instrument takes effect from 10 May 2006.
