REGULATION UNDER TJIE^MEAT ORDINANCE 1920-1927.

P U R S U A N T to the powers conferred upon i t by the Meat Ordinance

1920-1927, the Federal Capital Commission, appointed under the

«SVfli of Government (Administration) Act 1924-1926, hereby makes tbe

following Regulation, to come into operation forthwith.

AMENDMENT OF M E A T REGULATIONS 1926.

Regulation 16 of the Meat Regulations is amended by adding at the

rud thereof the following proviso:—

"Provided that, during such periods as the Commission specifies from time to time, a meat vendor shall not be deemed to have committed an offence against this regulation by reason only that he ' has removed from the public abattoirs or any approved slaughtering place, any carcass or portion of a slaughtered animal -which has not been sufficiently cooled, provided, that—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

(a) he removes the carcass or portion to W cooling chamber so constructed to the satisfaction of an'Inspector as to prevent the contamination of the carcass or portion by flies; and

(b) he allows the carcass to cool to the satisfaction of an

Inspector before it is cut up ".
