1924-1925.

PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon it by the Building and Services Ordinance 1924-1925, the Federal Capital Commission,

appointed under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1924,

hereby makes the following Regulations, to come into operation forth-

with.

AMENDMENT OF CANBEBKA ELEOTBIO SUPPLY REGULATIONS.

1. Regulation 3 of the Canberra Electric Supply Regulations is

amended by inserting before the word " Schedule " the word " Firs t" .

2. Regulation 25 of the Canberra Electric Supply Regulations is

amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-regulation (1.) after the word "Licence" the words " in accordance with Form C in the Second Schedule to these Regulations or a form to the like effect";

(b) by inserting after sub-regulation (1.) the following sub-

regulation :—

" (1A.) An application for a Wireman's Licence shall be in accordance with Form A in the Second Schedule to these Regulations or a form to the like effect and shall be accompanied by a certificate in aoeordance with Form B in that Schedule or a form to the like effect and by the prescribed fee for the issue of such a licence:

repealed and the following Schedule inserted in its stead:—

Provided that the proper authority may, in any case, if he thinks fit, dispense with the production of the certificate in accordance with Form B." ; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words "on pay- ment of the prescribed fee" and inserting in their stead the words " upon application in writing accompanied by the prescribed fee for such renewal."

3. Regulation 26 of the Canberra Electric Supply Regulations is

repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

" 26. Before issuing any Wireman's Licence, the electrical engineer may require the applicant to produce such evidence as he thinks fit as to his qualifications and character."

4. After regulation 27 of the Canberra Electr ic Supply Regulations

the following regulation is inserted:—

rufenceioi	" 27A, Where the issue or renewal of any Wireman's Licence
where licence	is refused the fee paid for the issue or renewal, as the case
refused.	may be, of the licence shall be repaid to the applicant."

5. The Schedule to the Canberra Electric Supply Regulations is
