to come into operation forthwith.

AMENDMENT OF CANBERRA ELECTRIC SUPPLY

REGULATIONS.

repealed and the following regulation inserted in-its stead:— : • • Regulation 6 of the Canberra Electric Supply Regulations is

(2.) The charges prescribed in the''last preceding sub-regulation -

shall be deemed to apply, in.connexion with— .

(a) premises-used for residential purposes only; • -
power of the motors does not exceed two horse-power.

(b) premises in which the power load consists of heating and

cooking appliances only;

(c) premises in' which the power load consists of motors, the total connected horse-power of which does not exceed two horse-power;

(d) premises in which the power load consists of heating
appliances and motors where the total connected horse-

(3.) The charges for the supply of electricity for power for indus-

trial purposes shall be—

For each unit up to 500 units consumed in any

For each unit over 500 units so consumed up to '

For each unit over 1,000 units so consumed up

Where consumption per month is over 5,000

(4.) For the purposes of the last preceding sub-regulation, " indus- trial purposes" shall mean purposes other than those indicated in sub-regulation (2.) of this regulation.

(5.) The charges prescribed in this regulation shall apply as regards any particular person with respect to all electricity consumed by that person on and from the first reading made, after the first day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, of the meter or meters installed for the registration of the amount of electricity Consumed by that person.
