in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Seat of Government (Administration) Ordinance 1930-1933, and the Building and Services Ordinance 1924-1928, hereby make the following Regulation to come into operation forthwith.

A M E N D M E N T OP CANBERRA B U I L D I N G REGULATIONS.

Regulation 22 of the Canberra Building Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following proviso and sub- regulation :—

" Provided also that the use of wooden framed walls may be permitted for temporary buildings erected for educational purposes where the Minister is satisfied that such buildings are urgently needed and that the expense of constructing them in accordance with the provisions of this regulation would place too heavy a burden upon the applicant.

(2.) Any permission given in pursuance of the last proviso of the preceding sub-regulation shall be for such limited period not exceeding five years as is stated in the permit.
