Amendments to the Building Code 2013 made under subsection 27(1) of the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2013

I, Eric Abetz, Minister for Employment, pursuant to subsection 27(1) of the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012, make the attached amendments to the Building Code 2013 dated 25 January 2013 which was registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments on 31 January 2013 (see F2013L00130).

Amendments to the Building Code 2013 made under subsection 27(1) of the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012

(i)         CITATION

This legislative instrument may be cited as Amendment No. 1 to the Building Code 2013.

(ii)       AUTHORITY

This legislative instrument is made under subsection 27(1) of the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012.

(iii)      DATE OF EFFECT

This legislative instrument comes into effect on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

(iv)       AMENDMENT

This legislative instrument amends the Building Code 2013 registered on 31 January 2013 (see F2013L00130) and which commenced on 1 February 2013.

PURPOSE

• The purpose of the instrument is to amend the Building Code 2013.

• The Building Code 2013 is amended as follows:

Omit subsection 6(4).
