294 Ambulance Services Act Amendment Act 1983, No. 27 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as.follows:- 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Ambulance Services Act Amendment Act 1983. 2. Commencement . (1) Section 1 and this section shall commence on the day this Act is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) Except as is provided for by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on a date appointed by Proclamation. 3. Principal Act and citation as amended . (1) In this Act the Ambulance Services Act 1967-1975 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Ambulance Services Act 1967-1983. 4. Amendment of s. 47. Unlawfully carrying on ambulance transport, etc. Section 47 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting from subsection (1) the words " The Hospitals Acts, 1936 to 1967." and substituting the words " the Hospitals Act 1936-1982."; (b) in subsection (2), in subparagraph (b)- (i) in provision (i), omitting subprovision (2) and substituting the following subprovision:- " (2) the supplying. of a first aid service with or without fee, remuneration or reward in respect of a sporting event or any prescribed show, prescribed function or other prescribed public gathering;"; (ii) omitting provision (ii); (iii) omitting subsections (3) and (4).
