Ambulance Service Levy Regulations

The Australian Capital Territory Executive hereby makes the following Regulations under the Ambulance Service Levy Act 1990.

Citation

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Ambulance Service Levy Regulations.

Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

“the Act” means the Ambulance Service Levy Act 1990.

Exempt contributions

3.  For the purposes of the definition of “exempt contributions” in subsection 4 (1) of the Act, the following classes of persons are prescribed:

(a)persons who are the holders of any one or more of the following cards issued to them by the Commonwealth:

(i)Concession Card;

(ii)Health Benefits Card;

(iii)Health Care Card;

(iv)Pensioner Health Benefits Card;

(v)Pharmaceutical Benefits Concession Card;

(vi)Social Security Card;

(b)persons in receipt of service pensions under Part III of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 of the Commonwealth;

(c)persons permanently resident outside the Territory.
