s1 2 s6 Ambulance Service Amendment (No. 1) No. 185, 2000 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Ambulance Service Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2000 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 2000. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Ambulance Service Regulation 1991 . ˙ Amendment of s 3 (Definitions) 4. Section 3— insert — ‘ “emergency transport” means transport, provided by the service, in response to a request for urgent assistance. “non-emergency transport” means transport, provided by the service, other than emergency transport. “non-residential member” , of an organisation, means a member of the organisation other than a residential member. “residential member” , of an organisation, means a person to whom the organisation has agreed to provide accommodation.’. ˙ Amendment of s 3A (Meaning of “dependant”) 5. Section 3A(2)(a)(ii), ‘$5 400.00’— omit, insert — ‘$6 000.00’. ˙ Amendment of s 4 (Subscriptions) 6. Section 4(2)—
s7 3 s7 Ambulance Service Amendment (No. 1) No. 185, 2000 omit, insert— ‘ (2) Subscriptions are payable by 1 payment each year at the following rates— (a) family—$92.00; (b) single—$58.00; (c) family veteran—$58.00; (d) single veteran—$43.00.’. ˙ Amendment of s 7 (Fees for services) 7.(1) Section 7(1)(a)— omit, insert— ‘(aa)for emergency transport—$676.00; (ab) for non-emergency transport— (i) if the ambulance does not travel more than 50 km—$252.00; or (ii) otherwise—$252.00 plus $1.05 for each kilometre or part of a kilometre over 50 km travelled by the ambulance.’. (2) Section 7(1)(b), ‘$9.65’— omit, insert— ‘$9.85’. (3) Section 7(1)(b), ‘$70.00’— omit, insert— ‘$72.00’. (4) Section 7(1)(c), ‘$12.15’— omit, insert— ‘$12.40’. (5) Section 7(1)(d), ‘$4.95’— omit, insert—

(2) Schedule, item 3, column 3, ‘$37’— omit, insert — ‘$38.00’. (3) Schedule, items 4 and 9, column 3, ‘$5.20’— omit, insert— ‘$5.30’. (4) Schedule, items 5, 7 and 8, column 3, ‘$82’— omit, insert— ‘$84.00’. (5) Schedule, item 6, column 3— omit, insert — ‘(a) up to 20 members—$84.00; or (b) if more than 20 members—$84.00 + 85c for each additional non-residential member + $1.05 for each additional residential member, with the first 20 members being comprised as follows—
