AMBULANCE SERVICE (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 6, 1975.

An Act to amend the Ambulance Service Act, 1972, so as to extend the term of office of members of the New South Wales Ambulance Board first constituted under that Act. [Assented to, 4th April, 1975.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Ambulance Service

(Amendment) Act, 1975".

2. The Ambulance Service Act, 1972, is amended—

(a) by omitting section 5 (4) and by inserting instead the following subsection :—

(4) The members holding office immediately before the date of assent to the Ambulance Service (Amendment) Act, 1975, shall, subject to this Act, continue to hold office until the expiration of the day which bears the date, 12th April, 1977, and shall be eligible for re-appointment.

(b)

by omitting from section 5 (5) the words "first appointed under this Act" wherever occurring and by inserting instead the words "referred to in subsection (4)".
