COMMISSIONER MCKINNON

SYDNEY, 20 DECEMBER 2024

Application for approval of the Alstom Transport Australia Pty Ltd Sydney Metro Enterprise Agreement 2024

  1. Alstom Transport Australia Pty Limited T/A Alstom Transport Australia Pty Limited (Alstom Transport) has applied for approval of a single enterprise agreement known as the Alstom Transport Australia Pty Ltd Sydney Metro Enterprise Agreement 2024 (the Agreement).

  1. Employees were not provided with a hard copy of the Agreement or notified of the vote at least 7 full calendar days prior to the commencement of voting. On the papers and having regard to the Statement of Principles[1], I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss.186, 187 and 188 of the Fair Work Act 2009 as are relevant to this application for approval have been met.

  1. The Agreement is approved and will operate from 27 December 2024. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 27 December 2027.

  1. The Agreement covers the "Automotive, Food, Metals, Engineering, Printing and Kindred Industries Union" known as the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) and the Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia (CEPU).
