Alpine Resorts Act 1983

Alpine Resorts (Remuneration, Expenses and

Allowances) Regulations 1996

The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the
Alpine Resorts Commission, makes the following
Regulations:

1. Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Alpine
Resorts (Remuneration, Expenses and

Allowances) Regulations 1996.

2. Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are—

(a)

to fix travelling and other expenses and allowances payable to members of the Alpine Resorts Commission at the rates determined by the Minister; and

(b)

to make provision for remuneration payable to members of the Commission.

3. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 6(3) and 42 of the Alpine Resorts Act 1983.

4. Revocations

The Regulations specified in Schedule 1 are revoked.

5.  Travelling expenses and other allowances fixed by Minister

(1) The chairman, deputy chairman and other

members of the Commission are to be paid
travelling and other expenses and allowances as

are determined from time to time by the Minister.

(2) The expenses and allowances fixed by the

Minister must not exceed those payable to an
officer (other than an executive officer) under the

Public Sector Management Act 1992.

6. Remuneration

The chairman, deputy chairman and other members of the Commission are to be paid the remuneration set out in Schedule 2.
