Alpine Resorts (Leasing) Regulations 1996
The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the
Alpine Resorts Commission, makes the following
Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe limits for leases which may be granted or renewed by the Alpine Resorts Commission.
2. Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 28(2) and 42(1), (3) and (4) of the Alpine Resorts Act 1983.
3. Revocation
The Alpine Resorts (Leasing) Regulations 19851 are revoked.
4. Prescribed limits for terms of leases
For the purposes of section 28(2) of the Alpine to the terms of leases are—
Alpine Resorts (Leasing) Regulations 1996

(a) for leases—
(i) referred to in section 28(2)(a), a term
not exceeding 50 years; or
(ii) where the Commission certifies that a longer term is justified under section 28(2)(a), a term not exceeding 99 years; and
(b) for leases referred to in section 28(2)(b), a
term not exceeding 50 years; and
(c)
for leases referred to in section 28(2)(c), a term not exceeding 50 years.
5. Prescribed limits for the value of improvements
For the purposes of section 28(2) of the Alpine to the value of improvements to be erected are—
(a)
for leases referred to in section 28(2)(a), $10 million; and
(b)
for leases referred to in section 28(2)(b), $5 million; and
(c)
for leases referred to in section 28(2)(c), $5 million.
