An Act to sanction the car ry ing out of a scheme
of Sewerage for the Municipal i ty of A l b u r y ;

and for purposes consequent thereupon or

incidental there to . [22nd December, 1910.]

declare t h a t it was expedien t to carry out a cer tain work, namely , t he WH E R E A S in accordance wi th the provisions of W o r k s Act , 1900, t he Legis la t ive Assembly did, by resolut ion,

A n d whereas on t h e pass ing of t h e said resolut ion, a s ta tu tory d u t y

was by the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Pub l i c W o r k s to in t roduce a Bill into the said Assembly to sanct ion t he car ry ing out of t he said work : He if therefore enacted by the King ' s Most Exce l len t Majes ty , by and with the advice and consent of t he Legis la t ive Counci l and Legislat ive Assembly of New South w a l e s in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of the same, as follows :—

1 . This Act may lie cited as t he " A l b u r y Sewerage Act ,

1910 . "

2 .     The car ry ing out of the works, more par t icu la r ly described

in t he Schedule to this Act , is he reby sanctioned, and the Secretary for Pub l ic W o r k s , or t he m e m b e r of t he Execu t ive Council for t he t ime be ing performing the dut ies of the said Secretary, is hereby author ised to unde r t ake and carry out the said works , subject to t he provisions of this Act , and for t h a t purpose shall be and shall have t he powers and duties of a Cons t ruc t ing A u t h o r i t y wi th in t he m e a n i n g

of the P u b l i c W o r k s Act , 1900.

3 . T h e p l an of t h e said works is t he p lan m a r k e d " A lbu ry

Sewerage W o r k s , " s igned by t h e Secre tary for P u b l i c W o r k s , and

counters igned by the Chief E n g i n e e r for I r r iga t ion and Dra inage , and

deposi ted in the publ ic office of t he said Secre tary .

4 . The cost of ca r ry ing o u t t he said works , es t imated at th i r ty -

n ine thousand six hundred and seventy-live pounds , may be defrayed from such loan votes as are now, or m a y hereaf ter be, appl icable to t h a t purpose , and shall not , unde r any c i rcumstances , exceed the

es t imated cost by more t h a n ten per c e n t u m .

SCHEDULE.

THE construction of 15 miles 43 chains, more or less, of main and reticulating sewers,
varying in size from 6 to 16 inches in diameter; together with manholes, junctions, gullies, ventilating shafts and pipes, penstocks, intercepting and flushing chambers, and nil works incidental thereto and necessary for the proper completion thereof. The

construction of pumping station, rising main, and works for the bacteriological treatment

of sewage near the Murray River.

The works above described are subject to such deviations and modifications, omissions, or extensions as may hereafter be deemed necessary-
