1Name

This is the Airports Legislation Amendment (2015 Measures No. 2) Regulation 2015.

2Commencement

(1)Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Airports Act 1996.

4Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Airports (Building Control) Regulations 1996

1  Part 10 of Schedule 1 (heading)

Repeal the heading, substitute:

Part 10—Sydney (Kingsford Smith), Sydney West, Camden and Bankstown Airports

Airports Regulations 1997

2  At the end of regulation 2.02

Add:

                   ; (f)  that the Minister is not satisfied that, on or before the day of the proposed transfer of the airport lease, the transferor has transferred, or will transfer, to the proposed transferee, the transferor’s rights, liabilities and obligations relating to the airport lease or airport site under all contracts, or other arrangements, between the Commonwealth and the transferor that are specified in a written notice given to the transferor by the Minister.

3  At the end of Part 5

Add:

5.05  Meaning of development—prescribed activities

For paragraph 96M(c) of the Act, the following activities are prescribed:

                    (a)  the disinterment of remains;

                    (b)  activities related to such disinterment.

4  At the end of regulation 7.02B

Add:

                   ; (f)  Sydney West Airport.

5  At the end of regulation 8.01

Add:

                   ; (f)  Sydney West Airport.
