AIR TRANSPORT ACT 1964-REGULATION

(Air Transport Regulation 1994)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Air Transport Act 1964, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Citation

1. This Regulation may be cited as the Air Transport Regulation 1994.

Commencement

2. This Regulation commences on 1 September 1994.

Definition

3. In this Regulation:

“the Act” means the Air Transport Act 1964.

Licence fees

4. A licence fee under section 7 of the Act:

(a)

must be paid to the Secretary of the Air Transport Council within 30 days after the end of the month for which it is payable; and

(b)

must be accompanied by a duly completed return in a form approved by the Air Transport Council.

Repeal

5. The Air Transport Regulations 1982 are repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to repeal the Air Transport Regulations 1982 and to remake one of its provisions relating to the manner in which licence fees are to be paid. The Regulation is merely of a machinery nature

This Regulation is made under the Air Transport Act 1964, including section 13 (the

general regulation making power) and section 7.

This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate
legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
