Air Navigation (Aircraft Noise) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Air Navigation Act 1920.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 July 1988.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Air Navigation (Aircraft Noise) Regulations.

Interpretation

3. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting the following definition:

“ ‘Authority’ means the Civil Aviation Authority;”.

Authorized officer

4. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting “or an officer of the Authority” after “Department”.

Aircraft not to fly unless noise certificate in force

5. Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (2) (b) “Secretary or an authorized person under the Air Navigation Regulations” and substituting “Authority or an authorised person under the Civil Aviation Regulations”.
