Air Navigation (Aerodrome Curfew) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Air Navigation Act 1920.

1. Commencement

1.1 These regulations commence on the day on which the Sydney Airport Curfew Act 1995 commences.

2. Amendment

2.1 The Air Navigation (Aerodrome Curfew) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3. Regulation 3 (Interpretation)

3.1 Subregulation 3(1) (definition of "curfew period"):

Omit the definition, substitute:

"'curfew period' has the same meaning as in the Sydney Airport Curfew Act 1995;".

3.2 Subregulation 3(1) (definitions of "flight plan", "international operation", "jet-propelled aircraft", "maximum take off weight", "register of Australian Aircraft" and "the Annex"):

Omit the definitions.

4. Regulation 5 (Delegation)

4.1 Omit the regulation.

5. Regulation 6 (Curfew)

5.1 Subregulations 6 (1), (8), (9), (9A), (9B), (10), (11) and (12):

Omit the subregulations.

5.2 Paragraph 6 (13) (a):

Omit "subregulations (6) and (9)", substitute "subregulation (6)".

5.3 Subregulation 6 (14):

Omit the subregulation.

6. Regulation 6A (Descriptions of aircraft that may take off from or land at the Aerodrome during a curfew period)

6.1 Omit the regulation.

7. Regulation 6B (Aircraft that may take off from or land at the Aerodrome during a curfew period—sunset provision)

7.1 Omit the regulation.

8. Regulation 7 (Runways)

8.1 Omit the regulation.

9. Regulation 8 (Classification of aircraft)

9.1 Omit the regulation.

10. Regulation 9 (Exceptions)

10.1 Omit the regulation.

11. Regulation 10 (Reverse thrust)

11.1 Omit the regulation.

12. Regulation 12 (Unauthorised landing or taking off during curfew)

12.1 Omit the regulation.

13. Schedule

13.1 Omit the Schedule.
