Active pay of officers.
1.—(1.) Regulation 543 of
the Air Force Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), after
the words “dental practitioner”, the words “or a registered nurse for the
purpose of sub-regulation (7a.) of
this regulation”.
(2.)
Regulation 543 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting the table in
sub-regulation (7.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

Regulation 543 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by inserting after
sub-regulation (7.) the following sub-regulation:—
“(7a.) The daily rate of active pay of a male
officer of the medical branch of the Permanent Air Force who is—
(a) registered as a nurse
under a law of a State or Territory of the Commonwealth providing for the
registration of nurses; and
(b) holds a rank specified
in the following table,
is the rate specified,
in relation to his rank and, where relevant, his service in his rank, in that
table:—

Application.
3.—(1.) The rates of
active pay provided for in sub-regulation (7.) of regulation 543, and in
sub-regulation (3.) of regulation 544, of the Air Force Regulations as amended
by these Regulations apply to and in relation to the service of an officer in
the Permanent Air Force, other than an officer holding the rank of Air
Commodore, on and after the fifteenth day of July, 1971.
(2.) The rates of
active pay provided for in sub-regulation (10.) of regulation 543, and
sub-regulation (4.) of regulation 544, of the Air Force Regulations as amended
by these Regulations apply to and in relation to the service of an officer in
the Women’s Royal Australian Air Force on and after the first day of January,
1972.
