Air Force Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Air Force Act 1923.

Interpretation

1. Regulation 4 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the definitions of “aircraftwoman”, “airwoman” and “Women’s Service”.

Ranks of officers

2. Regulation 50 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (1) and (1a) and substituting the following sub-regulation:

“(1) The ranks of officers in order of seniority, commencing with the most senior rank, shall be as follows:

3. Regulation 72a of the Air Force Regulations is repealed.

Retiring ages for officers

4. Regulation 88 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following sub-regulation:

“(1) The age for the compulsory retirement of an officer, other than an officer who is a chaplain of the Air Force, holding a substantive rank specified in Column 2 in the table in this sub-regulation in an item in that table is the age specified in Column 3 or 4, as the case may be, in that item:
