Air Force Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Air Force Act 1923.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 December 1996.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Air Force Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 527 (Interpretation)

3.1   Omit the regulation.

4.   Regulation 530 (Commencement, calculation and cessation of pay)

4.1   Omit the regulation.

5.   Regulation 535 (Deductions in respect of past service)

5.1   Omit the regulation.

6.   Regulation 536 (Semi-official debts)

6.1   Omit “of the Air Force”.

6.2   Add at the end:

 “(2) In this regulation:

‘member’ means:

• (a)

  a member of the Permanent Air Force; or

• (b)

  a member of the Air Force Emergency Force or the Air Force Reserve, rendering continuous full-time service.”.

7.   Regulation 537 (Minimum drawing rate)

7.1   Omit the regulation.

8.   Division 5 of Part XI (Rations, Quarters and Allowances in Lieu Thereof)

8.1   Omit the Division.

9.   Division 6 of Part XI (Uniform Allowance)

9.1   Omit the Division.

10.   Division 9 of Part XI (Medical Attendance and Treatment; Dental Treatment)

10.1   Omit the heading to the Division, substitute:

“Division 9—Post-mortems”.

11.   Regulation 616 (Interpretation)

11.1   Omit the regulation.

12.   Regulation 617 (Hospital, medical or other treatment)

12.1   Omit the regulation.

13.   Regulation 628 (Retirement or discharge on medical grounds)

13.1   Omit the regulation.

14.   Regulation 629 (Hospital, medical or other treatment after discharge)

14.1   Omit the regulation.

15.   Regulation 632A (Hospital, medical etc. attendance involving third parties)

15.1   Omit the regulation.

16.   Regulation 632B (Post-mortem examinations)

16.1   Add at the end:

 “(4) In this regulation:

‘member’ means, in the case of a member referred to as deceased—a member who, at the time of death, was rendering continuous full-time service.”.

17.   Division 11A of Part XI (Air Force Emergency Force)

17.1   Omit the Division.

18.   Division 12 of Part XI (Air Force Reserve)

18.1   Omit the Division.

19.   Schedule 5 (Charge for each day on which member was an in-patient at a service or Repatriation Hospital in a State)

19.1   Omit the Schedule.
