REGULATIONS UNDER THE AIR FORCE ACT 1923-1956.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Air Force Act 1923-1956.

AMENDMENTS OF THE AIR FORCE REGULATIONS.

Active pay of officers.

1. Regulation 543 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (4.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

5. Regulation 551 of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

6. Regulation 551A of the Air Force Regulations is amended by omitting the table and inserting in its stead the following table:—

7. Regulation 552B of the Air Force Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Variations of active pay.

"552B.—The rate of active pay payable under Division 2 of this Part to an officer shall be increased—

(a)in the case of a male officer to whom sub-regulation (1.), (3.), (7.) or (8.) of regulation 543 applies—by an amount of One shilling and sixpence per day; and

(b)in the case of a female officer to whom sub-regulation (9.) or (10.) of regulation 543 applies—by an amount of One shilling per day.".

Application.

8.—(1) This regulation applies in a case where a member of the Permanent Air Force has received or is entitled to receive active pay in accordance with regulation 549 or 550 of the Air Force Regulations in respect of a day in the period from and including the second day of May, 1963, to and including the day immediately preceding the commencement of these Regulations.

(2.) The rate of active pay applicable under Divisions 2 and 2A of Part XI. of the Air Force Regulations during the period referred to in the last preceding sub-regulation shall, in a case to which this regulation applies, be increased by an amount equal to the amount by which that rate is less than the rate of active pay that would have been applicable if the amendments made by these Regulations had taken effect on the second day of May, 1963.
