AN ACT to amend the Agriculture Protection

Board Act, 1950-1956.

[Assented to 19th August, 1957.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Agriculture

Short title

and citation.

Protection Board Act Amendment Act, 1957.

(2) In this Act the Agriculture Protection Board

Act, 1950-1956,

Act No. 76 of 1950 as amended by Acts Nos. 19 of 1951, 84 of 1953, 73 of 1954 and 8 of 1956, and as affected by Act No. 57 of 1956,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Agriculture Protection Board Act, 1950-1957.

Section five of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by substituting for the words, "nine mem- bers" in lines one and two of subsection (2), the words, "ten members";

(b)

by substituting for the words, "four mem- bers" in the tenth last line of paragraph (a) of subsection (3), the words "five members";

(c)

by adding before the word, "and" in the fifth last line of paragraph (a) of subsec- tion (3), the passage, "one shall represent agronomic industries carried on in areas of intensive culture, including the fruit grow- ing industry and the dairying industry;"; and

(d) by redesignating and transposing para- graph (3b) of subsection (3), so as to follow subsection (3), as subsection (3a) of section five of the principal Act.
