AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (CHEMICAL RESIDUES) AMENDMENT

REGULATIONS 1996

subregulation designation "(1)'; and

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Chemical

Residues) Amendment Regulations 1996.

Principal regulations

2. In these regulations the Agricultural Produce (Chemical Residues)

Regulations 1985* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 2AA amended

3. Regulation 2AA of the principal regulations is amended — (a) by inserting after the reg.ulation designation "2AA." the

(b) by inserting the following subregulation -

agricultural produce by a group name specified in (2) In these regulations a reference to

Column 1 of Schedule 1 is a reference to the agricultural produce specified opposite that group name in Column 2 of that Schedule.

Regulation 2A amended

4.      Regulation 2A of theprincipal regulations is amended by deleting

"Schedule 1" and substituting the following -

Regulation 3 amended

5.    (1) Regulation 3 (1) of the principal regulations is repealed and the

following subregulation is substituted -

"

residue limits specified in Column 3 of Schedule 2 are prescribed (1) Subject to subregulations (2) and (3), the maximum

in respect of the agricultural chemicals specified in Column 1 of that Schedule in relation to the agricultural produce specified in Column 2 of that Schedule.

Regulation 3 (2) of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"Column 3 of Schedule 1" and substituting the following - (2)

Regulation 4 amended

6.     Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) in paragraph (b) by inserting before "nuts" the following -

(b) following - in paragraph (c) by deleting "(nulls)" and substituting the

Schedules 1 and 2 repealed and new Schedules substituted

7. Schedules 1 and 2 to the principal regulations are repealed and the
