AN ACT to amend the Agricultural Lands Purchase

Act, 1909.

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority o

the same, as follows :—

Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as the Agricultural Lands Put

chase Act Amendment Act, 1929, and shall be read as one wit the Agricultural Lands Purchase Act, 1909, hereinafter rc ferred to as the principal Act.

Grants of holdings 2.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the princips Act, in the Group Settlement Act, 1925, or the regulation thereunder respectively, the Governor may grant, for a estate in fee simple, to any person who is one of a group c settlers on an area declared by the Governor by a notificatio in the Gazette to be a group settlement area within the meat ing of the Group Settlement Act, 1925, a parcel of land withi such area, under Part VIII. of the Land Act, 1898, relatin to homestead farms, whether such land was acquired undo the first mentioned Act, or otherwise :

+A group settlers.

Provided that any parcel of land so granted may, if th Minister for Lands thinks fit, exceed the limit of one hundre and sixty acres as prescribed by the Land Act, 1898.
