I. PUBLIC ACTS OF THE PARLIAMENT OF QUEENSLAND, 5° EDWARDI VII. AGRICULTURAL BANK. An Act to Amend "The Agricultural Bank Act Amendment Act of 1904" in certain par- ticulars. [ASSENTED TO 24TH NOVEMBER, 1905.] 5 Edw. VII. No. 15. THE AGRI· OULTURAL BANK ACTS AMENDMENT AOT OFl905~ B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - 1. This Act may be cited as "The Agricultural Rank Short title. Acts Amendment ~ ct of 1905," and shall be read as one with" The Agricultural Bank Act of 1901."* That Act and "The Agricultural Bank Act Amendment .dct of 1904 "t and this Act may be cited together as "The Agri- cultural Bartk Acts, 1901 to 1905." 2. Subsection three of section three of "The ..dgri- Amendment . cultural Bank Act Amendment Act of 1904 "t is repenled, 1! It~ : ' 13 and the following provision is inserted in lieu thereof:- s. 3. ' "(3) No advance under the Principal Act or this Act shall be made to any alien." 3. In section eight of the last-mentioned Act, the Amendment words" under the conditions prescribed by that Act" are of s. 8. repealed, and the words " at any time and notwithstanding the provisions of any Act" are inserted in lieu thereof. 4. No. 17, 1905. of such advance with interest thereon, then, notwithstand- ing any Act to the contrary, upon application by the manager to the Secretary for Public Lands, the term of such lease shall be extended for such further period, or a new lease shall forthwith be issued in the name of the manager or other person approved by the manager for such term, as in eithe1' case he deems necessarv to secure repayment in full of the amount of such ad;ance with interest thereon; and the rent and other conditions upon which such extension of lease or such new lease shall be held shall be the rent and conditions applicable to the farm or homestead at the date when the lease thereof would, except for the provisions of this section, have been determined. But the rent shall be subject to periodical reassess- ment at the times and in the manner provided by law. Amendment 5.
