I make the following order under section 20(2) of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1995 .16 March 2001

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Order (No. 2) 2001 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3InterpretationThe Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if the order were by-laws. 4Prohibition on handling chemical productsA person must not handle a chemical product containing a tributyltin compound by using that product for the purpose of applying it to the hull of a marine vessel less than 25 metres in length.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order prohibits the application of a chemical product containing a tributyltin compound to the hull of certain marine vessels.
