Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of

Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control

of Use) Regulations 1996 to prescribe—

(a)

further classes of agricultural chemical products for the purposes of section 30 of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1992;

(b)

a form for the purposes of section 54A(3) of the Act.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 30,
54A and 76 of the Agricultural and Veterinary
Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1992.

3. Commencement

(1) These Regulations, except for regulation 5, come

into operation on the day on which they are made.

(2) Regulation 5 comes into operation on 1 January

2002.

4. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Agricultural and
Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use)
Regulations 19961 are called the Principal
Regulations.

5.  Prescription of further classes of agricultural chemical products

In regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations, for
paragraph (d) substitute—

"(d) growth regulators;

(e) vermin destroyers;

(f) avicides.".

6. New Part 4 inserted

After regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations insert—

"PART 4—GENERAL

Forms section 54A(3) of the Act is Form 1 in Schedule 2.".

After Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations insert—
