Use) (Amendment) Regulations 1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to exempt persons accredited under certain quality assurance programs from the requirement to keep records about the use of agricultural chemical products.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 27 and
76 of the Agricultural and Veterinary

Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1992.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 9 April
1998.

4. Records

After regulation 6(2) of the Agricultural and
Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use)
Regulations 19961 insert—
"(3) Sub-regulation (1) does not apply to a person

accredited under a quality assurance program providing for the use of agricultural chemical products that is approved by the chief

administrator and notified in the Government

Gazette.".
